Well, that is true. Overall dems have been just as guilty as GOP in terms of the "home ownership" religion. What a farce. I was mainly sniping at Bush's other manifold failings, and the tendency of some to blame others for them. Case in point, my nutcase uncle was telling me over xmas that "Iraq was Clinton's fault". Jeez. Partisanship aside, I increasingly think our political framework is fundamentally broken. Truly talented and effective leaders don't rise to the top in our system IMHO. Instead we get "personalities" - nicely triangulated and packaged for TV.
