Good luck with that Ted. But remember, that ethos is based on millenia of watching human events by men every bit as smart as you and me. I am not sure what that chart is depicting.......consumer credit debt, fed debt or both.....but I agree with you that it looks very scary. Just so you know as you wring your hands that economic armaggeddon is at hand......BAC is buying CFC, sadly Chase is kicking the tires at Wamu, the banks are poised to advance if the feds cut rates etc. The market is working out the excesses from subprime.......hopefully without a recession......or at least only a mild one.
