The incentive problem is not the only problem.

There is also the fact that it destroys price signals (at least systems that are overwhelmingly socialist do, and more minor socialist interventions can at least distort such signals and incentives). And that it reduces freedom by imposing political decisions rather than letting people decide for themselves.
