Two words: Unintended consequences.

Selective unintended consequences according to you.

The people who get screwed over are those who have the means to get rich but aren't there yet, i.e. the middle class.

The very people who got shafted by bush's tax cut in 2001...

There really is no "tax plot." Just a lack of faith in a citizen's ability to succeed without the Nanny State.

SS, particularly during times of disappearing corporate pensions, and health care are hardly "nanny state" topics.

To use your words, "you got yours" ...why should you care about the day laborer who goes paycheck to paycheck and has no means to a pension nor access to reasonable health coverage.

PS: Hey look, a middle class white male liberal elitist atheist arguing for higher taxes on behalf of his fellow man...the world is upside down.
