Edwards may very well decide who the nominee is, but he's not going to make any endorsement unless he finishes third in South Carolina and Nevada. Even in third place, Edwards may end up with about 20% of the delegates and millions of loyal supporters, so his support could easily be the balance of power.

My guess is that Edwards demand the VP spot. Though he and Obama are a cooler couple, the Clintons gave Edwards a lot of initial support in his career, so who knows? I'd say probably advantage Obama.
