I've heard that too and I think Washington Mutual will be consumed by someone. Just as with insurance companies, financials have a tendency to buy out and consolidate when we start hitting lows. What is the saying? Buy your straw hats in the fall?

BTW - buying stock on buyout rumors is seriously risky. If you're going to do it make sure you have the staying power because in most cases these companies can stay in bear mode longer than people can stay liquid

BTW

The BAC buyout of CFC was a layup. Anyone watching knew that was going to happen when BAC bought a stake in the company in August. It was a matter of when - not if.

The point is - I'm NOT THAT GOOD!
