Hi Ten, I've looked at all the candidates and listened to many speeches from each. I think Obama is one of the best candidates when it comes to getting us to energy independence. That goal is one of his top priorities. He wants to embark us on a "Manhattan Project" (his words) and spend $150B over the next 10 years on incentives, research, tax breaks, you name it, to help us achieve that goal. The only other candidate that claims that energy independence is a "moral imperative" is Huckabee. However, Obama is electable. Huckabee is not. And Huckabee is too much of an evangelical for me. I'm sick of evangelicals and their Creationist b.s. It's time for a more scientific and rational Presidency. It's also time for someone who knows how to put spirit and unity back into Americans. Obama is the best man for that job. So I'm decided. This is how I'll vote. I'll vote for Obama if he wins the Democratic nomination. If Hillary wins, I will vote for a Republican, preferably Huckabee, Guliani, or McCain, in that order. If Hillary races against Thompson or Romney, I will vote for a 3rd Party, maybe Bloomberg. If there is no 3rd party, then I will abstain.

Carter fixed our energy policy and Reagan ruined it. Reagan scrapped 100% of Carter's huge solar and renewables program at the behest of the fossil fuels industry. A huge black mark on Reagan's legacy along with the S+L debacle and Iran-Contra. Which is why 25 years later we have to fix it again, especially after 7 years with glorified OPEC and Exxon lobbyists hijacking our White House and EPA. Any of the Democrats will do a much-much better job than any of the GOP, but the least awful GOP'ers would be McCain and Huckabee. Guiliani is in bed with the oil companies. He was Hugo Chavez's Citgo's lobbyist.
