Whether sincere or staged (and I do believe it was spur-of-the-moment vulnerability), my gut feel is that it was enough to win her New Hampshire, but it will also be enough to lose her the ultimate prize. No one will forget that moment. And even if that moment gets her past Obama to achieving the Democratic nomination, there are too many Republicans and Independents that will never vote for her because of that moment. The truth is no Republicans I know would vote for her prior to that moment either. But I know MANY Republicans who would vote for Obama. And to beat the Republicans, the Dems need a candidate that can capture the Independents a small percentage of Republicans. This is my honest opinion. The Democrats now have an enormous chink in what I had thought was an impenetrable armor. I thought they had a lock on the White House. Now I believe that Hillary is the biggest liability the DNC has. It's the worst kind of liability, because she has enough star power, funding, and political savvy on her team to potentially beat out Obama for the nomination. But she doesn't have enough unifying power to win the White House. Obama on the other hand has enough charisma intelligence, oratorical might, and funding to win the whole prize. So if Hillary steals the Dem nomination from him, then the Democrats may just have found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I hope they realize it and pick Obama. Otherwise, we're in for another rough 4-8 years under a Bush look alike. God help us.
