Back then, when the company had big news pending on Oct. 18, trading was not halted. Instead, leaks clearly prevailed, especially given the trading volumes on the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th of October. 24-Oct-07 2.55 3.50 2.55 3.35 5,367,600 3.35 23-Oct-07 2.70 2.87 2.25 2.56 3,219,800 2.56 NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT DAY 22-Oct-07 2.75 3.06 2.02 2.72 4,901,900 2.72 FRIDAY 19-Oct-07 2.96 2.96 2.96 2.96 0 2.96 THURSDAY 18-Oct-07 2.07 3.00 2.02 2.96 3,110,800 2.96 WEDNESDAY 17-Oct-07 2.17 2.30 2.08 2.15 1,516,400 2.15 TUESDAY 16-Oct-07 1.99 2.16 1.92 2.16 1,251,600 2.16 MONDAY 15-Oct-07 1.84 1.98 1.75 1.96 1,210,800 1.96 FRIDAY 12-Oct-07 1.69 1.75 1.66 1.70 560,500 1.70 Finally, they got the press release out Monday Oct. 22 at 11:27 a.m. "Kodiak Drills 2.0m of 54.1 gpt (1.57 opt) Gold/Confirms High Grade Mineralization 1.34km Along Strike/System Remains Open."biz.yahoo.com So let's assume that what we are waiting for on Monday Jan. 14 is another superlative assay result from a drill hole or two up there in Beardmore-Geraldton mining camp, where Kodiak owns the dominant land position. I say this because we know some assays are pending, and that the insider trading news is also very encouraging. One director has been buying on the open market, even though the price has rocketed since October.finance.yahoo.com Another has sold, but did so apparently because he was exercising a similarly sized purchase option.canadianinsider.com Say the assay results arrived at the company on Friday, Jan. 11, the day on which we all felt a little let down because trading was halted. Were it not halted, and insider buying took over, we would really have something to complain about. So what they are doing is right, particularly if they have extremely good news to tell to the public shareholders! They are seeking to prevent a recurrence of what happened in October. Bravo! I think this is more evidence that Kodiak is trying to follow all the rules. They know they are onto a very big deal and they do not want to mess it up with insider trading disputes of any kind.
