The way I read this is that if the insurance companies can't cherry pick, the price goes way up.

This post and the one before it are good examples of how cobbled together our healthcare system is and the kind of blowback it engenders.

Democrats so far are just like Republicans in favoring a cobbled together system that utilizes the private insurance industry as the entity that sets benefits and fees for consumers.

With dems in charge, it might end up less cobbled together, but it will still be relatively expensive compared to EU countries with whom we COMPETE.

Our high relative cost of healthcare puts a bigger cost burden on US companies vis-a-vis their EU competitors.
