You should have seen him when he was a fanatical investor in some Japanese software stock back in the 90's. ;^)

i know ... he used to belong to some Japanese cults that worshipped soft wear goddesses. Now he has converted himself to warlord islam with drum beats.

yes, cb ilaine, i remember the lovely days and wonderful nights, on the tokyo, frankfurt, new york, and back again to tokyo exchanges, following the sun rise, just about 24/7/365, as softbank of the Son rose inexorably from Yen 6,000 to Yen whatever at 10+x, and then my sudden and criticized 50% sell down, and very soon after, the 24 straight days of trading limit lock down, and the collapse to 6,000.

some kind of wonderful

all in full view

starting just so ...

Message 8554586

and viewed so Message 8594129

... and giving out altruistic advice so Message 14981596

and ending so Message 15279970 <<The Dollar will be the last to fall, but fall it will.

Out of the ashes of tax cuts and interest rate decrease, market intervention and economic data manipulation, a new age will dawn, powered forward by ... oh, I do not know ...
but of course, platinum and gold, naturally.>>

with analysis so Message 15266821 <<Floor on Gold should be US$ 180/oz>>

thank you for reminding me to feel nostalgic :0)

My conversion from Softbank to Gold was PERFECT

Sadly, many of the comrades during the Softbank War are no more

Seeker and Taikun still stand

WHAT do banks call it when a troubled borrower abandons her home, sending them the keys?

"Jingle mail."

And what do they call it when an irate borrower abandons his home, yanking electrical outlets from walls, leaving faucets running and otherwise trashing it on the way out?

"Taking the inside of the house with you."

There's nothing like black humor to define ¡X however sadly and starkly ¡X the blows that keep on coming in this mortgage debacle. But make no mistake, lenders are only beginning to learn how to manage the onslaught of jingle mail and houses turned inside out.

Definitely cultural differences.

One person at HSBC supposedly admitted complete astonishment at the condition defaulters left their previous homes in the US.

In HK, most of those that defaulted and walked away from their homes during the Asian Crisis left them in pristine condition, even going back to sweep and mop the dust upon moving out......

Makes Americans look bad in this case.. . and deservedly so....
