My point was that Senator Obama's church claims to attend a Christian Church but that it has a significant focus on nonrelated subjects. There are several religious sects that are not Christian. Unitarians come to mind. There are others that accept varying degrees of mainline Christian beliefs.

I am not sure if how close to the ideal Christian set of beliefs a candidate's beliefs are is a good metric for selection. It was interesting to me however to read about Senator Obama's church.

"the message is universalist."

Even that is more acceptable to me than people who worship a meteorite or who think that blowing themselves up helps their status in the afterlife.
