A "border fence" will not keep local PEDOs from raping our children. Tough laws and all-out search of possible criminals will though. Pretending PEDOs are not right among us is a huge mistake.

More bad news for Bush stagflationary economy news.yahoo.com This what happens when you unleash unregulated big business interests on the consumer. The consumer goes broke. It's time we started protecting our citizens against these predatory corporate interests, from the gas gougers to the health care profiteers to the predatory lenders. This is hard evidence that the Bush/Reagan economic ideas are only good for the top 1-2% and no one else.

What good would a fence do? I watched a TV documentary about the Minutemen building a fence on the border. It was pathetic and they were totally inept. They would need 100,000 Mexican workers to get the job done as it's hot, nasty, unpleasant work. It takes so much work it would take years and cost billions, plus, anyone who wants to get over it just needs some wire-cutters, a ladder one foot taller than the fence or they could dig a tunnel. I realize this is a frustrating problem, but a fence is not the answer, it's more of a symbol, and in reality it would probably be a huge waste of money. Also, why aren't you guys concerned about the Canadian border? That's the only border AL Qaida operatives have crossed over. As for Mexican illegals. I live in LA where we have more of them than anywhere probably, and I'm not aware of a single crime any of them have committed, though I'm sure there are always bad applies in any barrel. And we have plenty of perverts in this country without any of the Mexican variety, including the rapists at Halliburton, Senator Craig and Reverend Haggard.

With all due respect, The Fence is a stupid idea and there is a good reason border leaders like McCain and Richardson (and even GW Bush) are against it. Strip away the politics for a moment and look at the reality. 1000 (or whatever) years ago China built a 2000 mile wall to keep out invaders. did it work? Not even close. And imagine the HUGE OUTRAGEOUS amount of work which went into building that useless wall. There is actually only one way to stop illegal mexican immigration and that is to arrest the employers. But since most of them are Republicans than will never happen.
