luids? Well, that is what killed Terri Schiavo and is the subject under discussion.
[t]That may have been your subject, but I was talking about the right of a husband to remove live support from his wife who was in a permanent vegetative state for about 15 years. There was no hope for recovery and it was immoral to subject her body to the indignities she was being subjected to. There is another case written about within the last couple of years about parents keeping their young daughter in the same condition and charging admission to people who were told the daughter could work miracles and cause an apparition of the Virgin Mary to appear on certain days....[/t]

do either of you want to kept alive by life support systems.... If you don't, how do you want to die...?

Truthfully, we haven't thought of it a lot.

[t] Bull----[/t]

Now since you are so nosy, why not reveal what you and your wife have decided? Assuming you're married - most liberals aren't it seems.

[t] Neither one of us wants extraordinary efforts to keep us alive, ie no extended time on life support. Also we both want to be cremated. And you continue to dodge the question.[/t]

"Why we should reserve it for rare crimes imo. "

It is reserved for rare crimes now......but innocents are convicted and sentenced to die......always by conservatives...

How can you say the death penalty is a conservative thing when a number of liberals have recently nominated Bush, Cheney and others as candidates for the death penalty.

[t] Are you saying there are liberal nutcases as well as conservative[/t]

What a perfect opportunity for Christians to assume it' s OK...

Different people see it differently. I'm curious why an athiest who advocates euthansia has a problem with the death penalty?

[t]Euthanasia is an act of mercy..... Have you ever had a pet euthanized??? Our own military has often and may still euthanize hopelessly wounded men on the battle field....usually with an overdose of morphine. That would have been my choice for Schaivo.[/t]
