jsirius is exactly right. Very hard to know who owns the mortgage and thus very hard to know who to rent from. No lender wants to foreclose and rent. Easier to let the bums have a break, work things out without forclosure. Many of the ARMers are the same imprudent folks who have huge auto and credit card debt so cash flow is spoken for. Ilaine I suspect will be very busy.
