Yes, but Obama has no entitlement to the voters. He must earn their votes like everyone else. And close elections are contact sports, so let's see if he can stay in the kitchen when it gets hot.

Remember too, that about half the dem voters are not solidly behind any candidate. Each has about 15% solid support. After that it's all the mood of the moment.

Most important to all democrats, don't let anyone in our party be so foolish if their favorite loses as to hate or boycott our eventual nominee. That is the worst and stupidest thing anyone can do, like those Nader voters in 2000 who cost Gore the election because they were so stupidly stubborn.
