I have no way of knowing, it just occurred to me that he tried to get her stoned but he ends up going home with his tail between his legs in front of his whole crew and they all have to witness her achieving fame and relative saint hood in her own time. That could eat on a guy's conscience, maybe not dogs like you though. "So who was trying to set him up and why?" Gosh pal I thought I covered that.
