Yes, but the PDUFA legislation moving through the House now tracks its toned-down counterpart in the Senate.<g>

The drug-safety bill that the House Energy and Commerce Committee passed,leaves out many of the DTC and professional advertising restrictions.Most of those measures were struck from the bill earlier by members of the Health Subcommittee.

However, Pete Stark,the chairman of the W&M Health Subcommittee, introduced a measure that re-introduces many of the anti-DTC measures, as it would deny tax deductibility for any drug TV, radio or print ad that the FDA finds doesn't devote equal time or space to risks and benefits.

Will see how the final bill comes out.
