Jim Bakker, Reverend Haggard, Jimmy Swaggart and many more. The ultimate hypocrites and blatant con-men to boot. This tradition goes back to the beginnings of the evangelical movement when they were no better than snake oil salesmen or carnies. Most of them don't even have any real theological training. Rent JESUS CAMP which has a section on Reverend Haggard. It shows him accusing his congregation of dirty shameful sexual desires. Talk about he who smelt it dealt it! JESUS CAMP also shows how they try and brainwash kids to hate anyone "liberal". It's awfully disgusting, especially considering the fact "liberals" honesty live out many more of Christ's real teachings than the religious right ever will. The religious right's hatred of peace as opposed to war is particularly disturbing.
