A heads up:

Bears are starting to look at gold as the next big short. As a hedge against inflation, its current price does not look to be sustainable.......esp. if the coming recession is as hard as the market is predicting.

Citigroup Reports Record Loss on $18 Billion Subprime Writedown

You understand that Citi only wrote down a 1/3 of its CDOs. It left 2/3 still standing. I don't think Citi is long for this world in its current configuration.
