Hi Tuck,

O.T.

No, I didn't look at the AHs action today. We had some out of town friends & went out for dinner.

SKF will probably test its Jan9 H at 125.10 tomorrow in spite of today's UG, the volume of 3,156,300 was < the volume of Jan 9,10 & 11, albeit slightly more than yesterday's

I like breakouts, but sometimes they don't work well in this kind of market.<g> I like more the stocks on strong UTs, if they have enough volume & I have some idea of what seems to be triggering the moves.(Any one with a move > 15% in a day is interesting.)

Some stocks below $5 are also interesting, but I like to follow the IBD 100s, the "fastest growing", the ones with nice P/CF & the ones making new Hs.

I have now been playing with the market for > 50 years & have had a good amount of fun along the way.But I no longer play much with commodities or options.

I am afraid that I won't live to see again the kind of market in which we had stocks having wild rides, > doubling in a few minutes, although you never know, since both my parents & grandparents lived into their 90s & I am still < 80.<g>

RAGL & Cheers. (Don't forget to drink at least a glass of wine along with the Omega 3 )(I also like "mojito".<g>)

Bernard

The DOW is due to close > 200 points to the downside

MER reported about $16B in mortgage-related write-downs & adjustments,in the worst Q of its history.<g>

MER's stock is down 9% with volume of 44M, now > 2x its ADV.
