what about aapl chart makes you think it is going to crash? GOOG either for that matter.

Where do you see the low for apple then?

Well, I'm not advocating buying either stock (GOOG, least of all). I'm just pointing out that Armgaeddon hasn't arrived yet in the valley, doomsayers notwithstanding. Firms around here are doing very well. Lots of people with lots of cash. As a result housing prices are steady and even increasing in some locales.

High-tech firms make real products that are bought around the world - denominated in a shrinking USD. They're not financial service firms. I know plenty of Google folks who are happily selling their options every quarter.

Again, I'm not claiming that trouble can't show up. But I see scant evidence of it so far. Folks here are fat and happy.
