What makes the MacBook Air so thin is the absence of a CD/DVD drive, and a smaller hard drive with one fewer platters - so thinner.

the market isn't liking macbook hotair at all...i'm pretty disappointed in jobs on this one (spoken as one who has done more than my share to add to apple's coffers)....imo he's drifted from the original design aspects that made apple products popular, form follows function...i agree with this writer, in that i doubt it will succeed (at least in it's present iteration) as anything more that fanboy bling
