Among Republicans, John McCain charged to the front of a shifting presidential field, shooting past Mike Huckabee and a fading Rudy Giuliani as the opening contests of the 2008 White House campaign dramatically reshaped the races in both parties. Watching the returns in the Michigan GOP race, I was amazed at how far Julie has dropped in the last few weeks. He was like in 5th place. Just a few weeks ago he was the number one contender.
