you: Spansion is expecting unprecedented penetration of 65nm because of the range of products introed at 65nm is bigger than ever before, plus the 65nm volume ramp (300mm new fab + fab 25 + fab25) is way faster than they ever did previously. So 65nm products will penetrate the market faster than all volume from all previous nodes. me: Yeah, that's kind of the schedule that got me interested in SPSN in the first place. Still, given all the blood in the streets and all the negativity surrounding SPSN it takes some sort of optimist to see things happening exactly as SPSN has laid out. Of course things never work exactly as planned, but given the near death watch SPSN is now under it wouldn't take much to get the stock going.
