Most people say we are looking for someone who will be strong on border controls but we are hypocrites. It is a complicated issue that nearly all of us are conflicted over and we will annihilate anyone who tries to talk about it. We keep thinking when the right guy shows up with a plan we will know him but it really hasn't been thought through in the mainstream.

Arrest those who employ illegals and the migration would stop. But that will never happen. Bush's "guest worker program" tries to get around that, and also duplicates what they have in Dubai where they bring in poor workers and keep them locked up in slave camps where they have no rights and barely enough to stay alive.

And who's going to manage all those millions of workers?

As for the fence, China tried it with their Great Wall and though it was 25 feet high it didn't work. They were invaded anyway. A fence would only work in certain problem areas. In fact there's no absolute way to stop people from crossing the border so long as they're killing to hike through hell and highwater to get here.
