When I was a boy, next to the Monopoly set we had "The Big Board," a game not unlike Monopoly where you bought stocks instead of real estate. Every time I bought Polaroid I won. You had to get lucky and land on it in order to buy.

In mid October 2001 (remember because it was shortly after 9/11), I was driving south from Maine and heard on the radio....."Today Polaroid filed for BK protection." A milestone - end of an era.

You gotta pay attention to nasty things like the development of the digital camera. Ooops.
