The CO may have acted unethically, possibly even criminally but I don't have a solid enough grasp of the situation to be sure.

If he did, than he would be far from the first person in the public or private sectors to act in such a manner.

Government intervention had more to do with it. Slimeballs and honest enterprising individuals profited from the artificially low interest rates, easy money and culture of not verifying income and debt claims. People who were slow missed the boat, and or were accused of discrimination.

Here is the leftist game summarized.

You have been discriminating: lend more to people who can't afford the payments.
You slimeballs are responsible for pushing loans...

Always the solution is supposed to be more government intervention. Eventually nobody will have any freedoms.
