I'm not sure. I watched much of a program on Jack Paar, Steve Allen and Johnny Carson. I don't recall if that was PBS, or what. It was pretty good, anyway.

Yeah, Flip was great. I think Bill Cosby costarred in "I Spy" before that, but the role didn't really showcase him prominently. I seem to recall that show, along with "Julia" and "The Flip Wilson Show" had a degree of initial tension on their airing. Of course, Sammy Davis Jr. was a regular on the variety show circuits, but that was a little different somehow.
Although there was some controversy over a Harry Belafonte appearance on a Petula Clark special where they were a little too chummy.
