"You can really be obtuse when you want to be."

And....he can be very ignorant without even trying. I think your assessment of the situation is very accurate. Ted's assessment is base solely on the fact that Greenspan preferred Clinton over Bush and Bernarke was appointed by Bush. Nothing else matters.

Low interest rates don't create bubbles"

The lowest interest rates in fifty years got people to buy a LOT of houses, many with ARMS, that they really couldn't afford. Greenspan even urged people to use ARMS instead of fixed rates mortgages!

No one forced anyone to do anything. And ARM loans in and of themselves are not bad.....it was the way the loans were constructed in the last few years that made them time bombs waiting to go off. No one with any brains including Greenspan would have encouraged people to obtain that kind of ARM loan. Its why we have a subprime crisis. Its not Greenspan whose at fault but shoddy lenders.

I'm afraid you are simply echoing what you hear in the media......and its not correct.

The low interest rates was like throwing gasoline on the housing bubble fire. You can really be obtuse when you want to be.

Look.....I made my living in real estate. Don't tell me I am being obtuse. You clearly don't understand the situation as well as you think you do. Nor did you answer my question....are you unable to?

Bubbles aren't a good thing overall.

No kidding.
