You are quoting his prepared remarks, upon which he had time to ponder.

I am talking about a direct question from a couple of lawyer congressmen who were wondering about why taking money from folks is called a benefit and why taking less money from folks is called a cost.

Bernanke basically said the congress has the deep responsibility for the redistribution of wealth and it is up to them to decide who gets what.

What it boils down to is they are going to send me a $300 check.

Plus, they are monitoring my account and when I switch from LONG to SHORT they are going to do an emergency rate cut so they can ensure I will be FLAT BROKE.

Until then, they are just going to take between .5 and 2% per day in order to bleed me to death.

"To be useful, a fiscal stimulus package should be implemented quickly and structured so that its effects on aggregate spending are felt as much as possible within the next 12 months or so," Bernanke said. "Any fiscal package should be efficient... Finally, any program should be explicitly temporary."

Which won't happen, of course. Quick cash handouts to the poor, and the implementation of various boondoggles that didn't get passed before.

What they need is deregulation of business, Investment tax credits, etc. But Noooooo!
