The Dept. of Labor statistics don't pick costs at the STATE level that are also going up across the nation.

In the last three years, I've personally had the following increases: Arkansas state sales tax, property taxes and my homeowner's insurance premium (from rising property values in my area) and some small miscellaneous user fees because my county is experiencing a shortfall.

I live in a tri-county area that has had a huge influx of Mexican labor, mainly to serve the poultry industry. Our grade schools had classes meeting in hallways until new buildings could be completely. Likewise for other public services. These costs are now being passed along as every city budget in my area is struggling to maintain services.
