I think reparations are the signature issue of the segment of the black community that still has a chip on its shoulder. Agreed - my family can be traced back to the civil war and we fought for the north - to have lost family supporting that war is to have paid enough already. Asking for cash is to dishonor our sacrifice and losses. No one can reasonably determine both who should get paid or who should pay - this is a closed chapter in our history as a nation. Never to be forgotten, but not to be used as a bludgeon either. So I believe Hillary, Sharpton, and Jackson, and their age group all are racists in both directions. Clearly Sharpton and Jesse lost touch with the mission of ML King. Not planning to vote Dem, but if I had to choose a Dem candidate - it would be Obama.
