the thing is, cutting won't help here. So they could cut and we get a teeny weeny little pop and then the "euphoria" wears off when all cutting does is create even more of an inflationary environment and no recovery. Yes things are bad but it won't last forever. And what I like are the new alt energy startups around here, plus the fact that now that it costs so much to hire offshore, companies are stopping doing it. 65K for an indian engineer now. That was a huge problem the US had. Still for great markets we need optimism and Bush is a real downer. HE will be gone soon and in 08 things might perk up.
