OK. I can concede your point on nationalizing.

In my mind I think of a nationalized industry as one like when Norway nationalized their oil industry. The government took it out of the private sector but it still operated in the same manner. It still has a sales force and marketing team, for ex. It still competes in the global economy with other oil companies.

OTOH, our health insurers would theoretically cease to exist in the true sense of the word. The government would replace them but the actual insurance work would be conducted in a very different manner.

But we can call it a nationalizing process since the end result is more or less the same.
