Gotcha Rush,

For my industry, getting to a "negotiated Contract" stage with a major GC is tantamount to being in the catbird seat.

Another angle that has been touched on here but not fully explored is the impact of the "Greenies" on every industry. As I read it this could be the biggest step for the large manufactures to be able to claim "Green" processing throughout the supply chain. One of the hindrances to this claim is that they can't get their suppliers to join them in changing the manufacturing process therefore the claim at the end process is hollow at best. In other words, the goal is to be able to claim environmentally friendly processes for every part and piece not just the final assembly.

This could be the hit we've been waiting for.

Gary

Guys, first time poster, long time reader of these boards. I have been in and out of ACII for a couple years, waiting patiently like the rest of you. After all the buildup the last couple months, I would hope we are beyond the meaningless PR's and moving towards some real info from this company.

To me, this one takes the cake. EDI has been the standard format for the larger companies for years now. It allows everything to be done through data transmission, which makes everything in real time, PO's, payments, etc. To imply that this puts them on this golden list of vendors, in my opinion, is being a little arrogant. I wouldn't be surprised if one or all of them require all of their vendors to be EDI, because it eliminates the need to pay clerks to go through the mail/fax machine/AP checks, etc.

When are we going to get some meaningful news out of this company?
