Amy, I had no idea Gidget bit you! One thing I learned when that cat bit me, don't waste time. Get on antibiotics immediately. Glad you are on them.

What caused her to bite into you like that? Was she frightened?

<<After 24 hours it is still bleeding.>>

So you were one of the drunks at the zoo that got mauled by the tiger?

Gadsoooks, Sarkie....You are REALLY having too much fun these days.... So very sorry to hear of the infection problem on top of everything else....

It's somewhat akin to stomping on your foot, so your hand doesn't hurt so much....

Gidget must be feeling terrible too...Animals when they are scared, really panic....Pixie has done that to us...the Grandma who had her before had grandkids that came to her permanently to live....the kids must have been terrible to Pixie, because she doesn't trust much of anyone to hold her....and trusts NO ONE, not even us to put our hand over her to pet her....She must still be afraid because my guess is the kids pounded on her...so she reacts by snarling or trying to bite...

Glad you went to see about the bites....animal bites can be very serious... If you get either a fever or any other symptom, do go to the Doc right away....no fooling around with that!

I just got that "lecture" from a Surgeon this morning, so I will have two procedures done on the 28th and the 2nd one on Feb 8th...I'll be able to do some things the next day, but each will take 6-8 weeks to recover....

patch, patch, patch, patch....
