Completely agree. I still think history will think well of him,just less well than I had hoped. Some of the reduction in stature is a result of dealing with the politics, as well as mistakes. Everybody makes them. Hindsight's grand. Probably pretty normal, part of the process. Tough job.

Did you read Brook's article titled "Liberal Hatemongers"? It accurately describes many on the left.

I think our whole electoral process needs an overhaul.

Mainly, do away with campaigning all together and make people run on their records. Let the campaigning reside at lower levels and keep it off the TV.

When I was a kid we drove out to see Eisenhower on a whistle stop. There was a traffic jam all the way from our house to the train station. The only traffic jam I had ever seen.

Eisenhower ran on his record. That's good enough.
