Yes, Kerry did jump off the boat and go after the VC regular. The Vietnamese in the village stated that in the heat of battle they don't know who shot who. By the way, Kerry never told this "story", his boat mates did. Kerry never lies or blows his own horn. In fact, his family will tell you he never talks about what happened in combat. Real heros don't brag. Killing people is not something real heros boast about and Kerry never has.

He was a real war hero. He was damn courageous and set a powerful example. His claim to fame in the Delta was to stop the standard operating procedure of running away from enemy fire, and to start charging straight into it instead. That's why he got his Silver Star, not just for this one brave deed, but for his overall courage in battle.

Not a single major Bushie leader has ever served in combat and most deliberately avoided the war, including Bush and Cheney.

Markets Call Bush Rescue Plan A Failure
news.yahoo.com

Let's be honest, folks, this Bush "rescue" plan is really just more out of control deficit spending, and further reducing taxes is just going to make the problems worse as we will slide even further in deep-deep debt.

This all proves that GHW Bush was right when he ran against Reagan. It really is just Voodoo Economics, and deregulating industry is just an invitation for greedy corporate powers to gorge at the trough of our common wealth. They have already stolen and wasted trillions. Time to stop it, then start paying off the Bushie debts. It will take a long-long time but it has to be done, unless we want to cut Pentagon spending in half.
