Well........my state could run for 68 yrs if we were "allowed" to drill in Anwar. I was particularly surprised to see that TX would run out after 9 yrs. But thinking about it further.....I imagine most of their infrastructure is geared to run on oil because of the large amount of local oil that was avail in the past.

By implementing some sound conservation measures, Anwar oil could last for centuries.

Sometimes I wonder if the plan is to save our national fields for the day that the rest of the world dries up so they can sell it for a huge profit? Or to just keep us running when all other supplies are gone?

The lack of will to allow drilling our own resources on the part of our legislatures is frustrating to say the least.
