I guess my question is why health insurance. We could perhaps get the price of gas down, as well, if we nationalized that industry. Why health insurance and hot oil and gas? I know this is not an oil and gas thread. But I'm wondering what special circumstances would have to exist for a capitalist to champion nationalization an industry.

If the money is waste, than you really do save by eliminating it.

If its doing something useful, then you lose out on that useful thing when you eliminate it.

Bearing that in mind are profits and marketing expenses in general waste?

Whether or not they are waste in general are they waste in the health care or health care insurance industries?

This has nothing to do with any philosophical considerations.

I don't know where you got the idea that I thought it did. My posts in this topic have been anything but philosophical.
