I have to trade as I wait for the market to crash. More accurately, in my mind, as I wait for large caps to level out for a multi-year period, for small and mid caps to become undervalued, and for a stock-picker's market to develop. That whole scenario is probably two years off, however. Over that time, I need to take some of my cash and put it into long term positions and trade through some turbulance.

I've been hearing people yammer about the same issues for the last 15 years, the coming crisis, this or that. Most of it is pretty obvious.
