I suppose you could make that point. I doubt that I personally would favor nationalizing any industry other than healthcare. Seeing the benefit to their societies that the Sovereign wealth funds are providing, it's intriguing to picture how things might have been if our govt. had retained ownership of its oil way back in the beginning. But that's hindsight. It's too late now. As I said in the beginning, healthcare presents a unique situation in my mind. *********************************************** Interestingly, twice today I've heard some Wall Street pundits call for the Government to nationalize our big monoline insurance companies....specifically, Ambac and MBIA. I never thought I'd live long enough to hear something so incongruous, but these are special times.
