I've always had poodles before Arthur, and by anyones standards, poodles are the smartest dog I've found. I also had German Shepherds ..and they are very smart, and very protective of their family. If you get them as puppies you can train them to be loving and very Obedient. The problem with German Shepherd dogs is many people are afraid of them.
