This is an option that I hadn't thought of. I'm thinking I will discuss it with the poor guy when he's not feeling too sorry for himself. When he's better able to think clearly and maybe give it some time to self evaluate how much pain he's feeling and how strong he thinks he is. The only time I sprained something was a few yrs back when I stepped out of the car wrong into a little ditch. Really had a swollen and black and blue ankle from that, and remember it took about a month to heal so that I felt like I could resume normal activities. Not so sure I'd have gone skiing in that short amount of time though. I could always discount my costs a bit if I list on craigslist. Would be better than losing it all. Next time I'm definitely getting the insurance. Lesson learned!
