but only to be dragged down by short rate, or dragged down by very short rate

in any case, the yield curve will want to steepen

but will be flattened

until the fed can no longer balance the needs of the economy with the wants of the banks

then, kaboom or boom, followed by the usual, ending in dissipation, revolution, and dark interregnum
