An excellent demonstration of the use of cutouts is the selling of flaky mortgages. The people that sold the mortgages, often bum rushing and outright lying and deceiving the people buying them, weren't the originators of the mortgages. Of course, the people originating the mortgages had NO IDEA (lol) what was going on with these "salesmen". They liked these mortgages so much, they sold them to other corporations almost immediately! Those corporations bundled them into MBS's and shoveled the shit on through. And on and on..
