Yes. That is exactly what is happening. Witness the foreign wealth fund bailouts of our oldest financial institutions. They essentially bought future US banking revenue streams. The financial industry, the bedrock of our economy, is now owned in significant shares by foreign sovereign wealth funds and governmental trusts (Dubai, Kuwait, Saudi, China, etc). That's not good for our Democracy.
