Re: Bush "stimulus" package: If 145 billion does the trick, why not double it, or triple it to really get things going? IOW, isn't more better? But, of course, its a lot worse than "they are bribing you with your own money" trick. In this case, Bush doesn't have the money, so now they are bribing you with money they don't have. Or to extend it a little further, they will borrow the money for you in order to bribe you with it. Gee thanks! Guess who eventually pays the bill.
