Read T.R. Reid's...."The United States of Europe"

France has been the crossroads for all Europeans wars since recorded history, and they finally came to the realization that another war wouldn't solve any of their problems. France has many problems, but at least they aren't wasting their resources in quagmire wars that have no end in sight. DeGaulle warned the US not to get involved in Viet Nam...only deaf ears were turned to hear what he had to say. They warned us again about Iraq........no one listened.

When many European countries formed the EU, the US scoffed at the idea with the label it wouldn't work.

Bottomline, we are now a world economy and we will have to pull together. We have no choice!!! We Americans can thank Nixon, Reagan and Bush........taking us off the Gold Standard(Nixon).. making us a debtor nation(Reagan)..making us the world's largest debtor nation(Bush).

People never could understand why my Mother never owned a credit card...when the market opens tomorrow, those that questioned her will get their answer.
